On Tuesday Year 5 were fortunate enough to work with Mrs Kay who is an Art teacher at our local secondary school, Teign School.
The next step in the Tudor portrait project is to use watercolours to paint the portraits. Mrs Kay came to help the children improve their watercolour technique.
At the beginning of the afternoon the children went on a walk around the school grounds to look at the autumnal colours and collect some fallen leaves. Mrs Kay then helped the children to develop their watercolour skills by painting the leaves they had collected.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and great progress was made. Watch this space for the final paintings!
