During the summer holidays I visited the Tate Modern in London and saw a wonderful exhibition of work by a famous artist called Henri Matisse. Although he started drawing and painting as a child before becoming a painter when he was an adult, as he got older Matisse started making art by cutting out shapes from colourful pieces of paper. I love these pictures as they are so bright, bold and cheerful.
