Have you seen...?

Have you seen either of these television shows?  The first one is on CBBC and is called  Art Ninja.

Art Ninja is about a man called Ricky who lives in Bristol. By day he works as an animator- which is lucky because he loves art. He lives for art. He even dreams of art. He draws, he paints and - with his friends and members of his family who drop by - he makes ninja moves. The second programme is on BBC One and is called The Big Painting Challenge.Two presenters called Una Stubbs and Richard Bacon lead a nationwide search for Britain's best amateur artist.

Every week, the artists will face very different painting and drawing challenges, covering every type of figurative art, from landscapes and still life to portraiture and life drawing.   I certainly picked up some good tips for painting landscapes during the first episode and am now looking forward to next week when the artists will have a go at portraiture.  Click on this link for more information and to watch the first episode,  Who knows you may be inspired to have a go yourself!
