As our Art week was based around the theme of British cultural values, we chose 'Individual Liberty'.
We learned how individual liberty allows us to be free from oppression, to be able to make our own choices and to form our own beliefs and opinions.
Then we learned about protesting and how when people think things are unfair or are not 'right' they sometimes make a protest.
One artist who uses his individual liberty to share his strong opinions about the Arts in education is Patrick Brill.
Patrick Brill uses the name 'Bob and Roberta Smith' and makes vibrant posters to voice his opinions.
We were inspired to create our own posters to promote the Arts at Rydon.
First we thought about the slogans we could put on our posters.
We used our Camille Walala inspired printed letters and worked in groups of four to create protest posters. Here we are protesting in the playground!
