Rydon Primary Lockdown Art

Hello Everybody,

Mrs Hadley here.  How are you all doing? I hope you are all happy and well.

It's a strange old time isn't it? Yet again, we are all being asked to stay at home. We all know this is for the right reason but it will mean missing out on many of our usual activities, not to mention not being able to see our friends and family.

Sometimes this can you feel a bit sad, worried, confused, lonely or even just plain bored.

One way to help yourself feel better is to channel those feelings into something creative.  Often spending time making art, crafting, music, cooking, gardening, dance or many other creative things can really cheer you up and help you to feel happier.

During this lockdown I will be regularly updating the blog with creative ideas for you (and your grown ups!) to try at home.

I am hoping to create an online gallery of all the brilliant art work created during lockdown.  It would put a big smile on my face if you shared your art with me by emailing it to the school office who will make sure I receive it.  Any art that you send in to school will be shared and celebrated on this blog.

Just to get started you can watch this video from author and illustrator Rob Biddulph where he shows you how to draw a special dinosaur called a 'Gregosaurus'.  Alternatively, click on one of the links down the side of our blog in the section called 'Art Stuff We Love' to take you to a different online art activity or suggestion.

Have fun and I look forward to seeing your fantastic art soon!
