Anti Bullying Week - Abstract Art

As part of our PSHE lesson during anti bullying week we used art to express ourselves.

We created abstract art to represent how it feels when someone is kind to you and when someone is unkind.

We split our sketchbooks into 6 sections with masking tape and thought about the shapes and colours that we associate with feeling happy or feeling sad.

Then used different materials such as pastels, chalk, watercolours, felt tips, wax crayons and pencils to create layers of marks, texture and pattern on each page.

Do you think these pages represent happy or sad feelings?

We filled both pages with colour and pattern.

Once we had filled each page, we removed the masking tape to reveal individual mini abstract pieces of art! We imagined they were going be shown in a gallery so we signed them and gave each painting a name.
