The children in Year 3 were inspired by the abstract art of local artist Emily Powell. Emily paints bright colourful paintings like this one below...
The children looked at the shapes of real flowers, leaves and plants then made a plan using chalk on cartridge paper. They then chose bright, vibrant pastels to finish the drawings and ensure there was absolutely no white showing!
