We are very lucky at Rydon Primary as we have a BRILLIANT new library! Our Year 5 children have worked with Mrs Kay who is an Art teacher from Teign School to make some fantastic sculptures of characters from Road Dahl stories...
The sculptures were made using rolled up 'sausages' of newspaper which were bended into positon and taped together with masking tape. More newspaper and masking was added as neccessary and finally the sculptures were finished using tissue paper to add colour.
They now have pride of place in the library which was officially opened by local childrens author Simon James.
