Art week culminated in a very special exhibition at school on Thursday June 30th when we transformed our school hall into an art gallery and invited family and friends to join us. During the afternoon local artist Becky Bettesworth visited school and spoke to Key stage One children about life as an artist and what inspires her work. She then enjoyed looking at the art in the exhibition and talking to children about their achievements.
Art work was based on a broad spectrum of artists including, Henri Rousseau, Joan Miro, Andy Goldsworthy and Wassily Kandinksy The event was deemed a great success and created an exciting buzz about Art around school.
